K.D. Walker is a Turkish American writer based in Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Pomona College and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Notre Dame.
Her writing has been published in the LA Times, Electric Literature, and the Threepenny Review. In 2023, she was selected as a Tin House Summer Scholar and Periplus Fellow. In 2024, she was a Fellow-in-Residence at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and received her first Pushcart Prize nomination.
While in college, K.D. worked as the Research Assistant to New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Lethem and was under the tutelage of Mary Gaitskill. She was formerly a reader for One Story and has interned at Electric Literature, Penguin Random House, and Atlantic Records.
